Look before you Leap...

Hey there,

Lets talk about Information. Many a times we are not the first hand recipients of information. We receive information from someone or through the Internet or the media. Some of us are wise enough to ponder over the details received from any third or fourth party sources but most of us blindly believe in what comes around from Mr.XYZ and everyone around. A wise one would use his/her intellect and wisdom to ponder over that information and decide whether to trust and take it in or throw it out. That is what makes us different from animals. The power of thinking and intellect.

To illustrate this, lets remind ourselves of this famous story of a fox. There was once a fox in a jungle. One day the fox accidentally slipped in to a deep well and was unable to get out of there. So it came up with an idea. As soon as it heard a sheep bleat, it started exclaiming very loud

"wow. This water is so tasty!".
Hearing this the sheep went close to the well and asked the fox

"Hey, what are you doing in here?"

To this the fox replied "I am enjoying the sweet water of this well. It tastes amazing. come on in and taste it, I am sure you would have never tasted such tasty water in your life. This is the best well in this forest"

Hearing this the sheep got carried away and jumped in to the well only to find out that the water was nothing unusual and in fact it was very salty.

The fox was very happy. Before the sheep realized what was going on, the cunning fox jumped over the back of the sheep and jumped out of the well and laughed at the foolish sheep and said: "You stupid sheep, You have no sense. How did you get in without knowing how to get out of this well! Now sit, cry and die in the well".

Many people blindly believe others or trust every small and large bits of information that reach them directly or indirectly. That could actually be a trap meant for you. Beware of traps. After all its human mentality that some people cannot see the others flourish and they would drag you to their level or even throw you in a problem to save themselves. So, never believe anyone or anything blindly. Of what use is all our education, knowledge and wisdom if we get carried away by passing rumors and passing information? Be wise.

Even a mirror shows a false image. It depicts left as right and right as left. Even a shadow is not 100% same as reality. Trust no one and nothing without a valid reason and purpose. And don't jump in to other's situations or issues or matters. Be helpful but don't go beyond the way to help others. Too much of care and honesty will ruin you. As chanakya rightly said "Straight trees are chopped down first and honest people are the first to get screwed".

Always take time and think thrice before you make a decision or jump to a conclusion related to anything, anywhere.  Also remember:

All that is famous need not be good and All that is good need not be famous.

What does the above statement mean to you? Let's talk more on that in some other post.

Comments

  1. I agree with you. Informations generally lost real content and or misguide when it comes from 3rd/4th parties.
I do agree straight trees cut first than crooked.
I ponder many times, is being good and simple really wrong. I realized, first I really don't have extra ordinary wisdom or intellect, second I realized why I need to be smart, is just being conscious, aware, courageous and compassionate not sufficient? Third I decided to go, situation to situation either defense mechanism ( emotionally or socially) and focus on what actually what type of me....hope I made sense

  2. Not just third or fourth party information, it's not wise to trust even the first hand information without proper reasoning and thought. We can only see what others want to show to us, we can never know in reality what is going on in the other person's mind..

Types of programming languages | Software

Hi, Lets get going further in to the basics of computers. For those of you who are new to this blog, I recommend you to go through part - 1 of the basics before going ahead with this post. Here is the link to part-1: https://techspireme.blogspot.in/2018/04/basics-of-computers.html We have already read from part 1 that Software is a set of applications. Software is basically of two types: 1. System software: software required to start up the system i.e the Operating System software (by booting - a process named Boot Strap Loader loads the operating system from the Hard disk drive to the working memory RAM) 2. Application software: Software designed for a specific purpose that is a collection of programs. Application software always runs on the top of system software. Examples of Application software are: word processors like notepad, wordpad A suite of applications like MS Office Media players (VLC etc) and many more. System software is the base on which applicat...

Types of Computers

Based on the size, computing power and capabilities, the computers are divided in to several types. Let us have a look at these ranking from top to low. 1. Super Computer The fastest and extremely fast computer capable of execution hundreds of millions of instructions per second (MIPS) is called a Super computer. They are highly expensive (around 50-100 million dollars to a few billion dollars) and most powerful.  It can execute n* 10 power 10 to n* 10 power 50 operations per second ex. the NASA super computer Pleiades can execute 5.95 to 7.25 petaflops per second.  1petaflop = one thousand million million = 10 power 15 floating-point operations per second - FLOPS) The super computers are used in research purposes and in intense calculations like weather forecast, Earth quake studies, nuclear reactors & simulations, Astro physics, complex scientific operations etc. NASA uses super computers to launch satellites, rockets and for space exploration. Everything about computers

Hi, I am quite excited to start the technical part of my blog! I hope so are you! Let's start with the Abc of computers that we all find a bit hard to put in to words. These are my own definitions made really simple and easy to understand! Computer:   An electronic device that computes, stores, processes , manipulates and displays the data. Coined from the term "compute", means to calculate. Facts:  First ever computer was used for mathematical calculations. Founder: Charles Babbage - The Father of computers - invented the first ever mechanical computer called "Babbage's Analytical Engine"! Features of a Computer / Advantages of computer over a calculator: Speed, Accuracy, Storage, Multi tasking, Diligence (and many more). A computer comprises of Software and Hardware (all the physical - internal or external components/peripherals that are connected to or a part of computer ex. Keyboard, Mouse, Cabinet, Joystick, USB - pen drive etc. that we c...
